Murder by Association: When Charges Catch Up The recent upgrade of charges for seven teenagers involved in the assault of a 27 year old man has brought a stark reminder of escalating violence in Australian cities.
The incident, which took place on July 24 in Kelvin Grove, Brisbane, resulted in the victim's death on August 6.
Initially charged with grievous bodily harm and robbery, two teenagers were arrested just hours after the assault. Further investigations led to the arrest of seven more individuals, including minors as young as 14.
