The Lost Reader of Kiama: A Chapter in Australia's Forgotten History The recent rediscovery of "Antiquities of Athens" at an Australian library has sparked interest in a 150 year overdue book.
Published in 1858, the book was part of the original collection of around 1,000 volumes at the Kiama Library, which opened its doors in 1872.
The rules governing borrowing and return were often arbitrary and sometimes humorous.
